The Sun Room – A Jewel Suspended Above the Eel River

The Sun Room is the crown jewel of the estate—its most extraordinary and valuable space, both in beauty and in story. Once at risk of sliding off the cliffside, this remarkable room was masterfully saved by anchoring its foundation deep into the earth. Today, it stands strong, offering breathtaking, elevated views of the winding Eel River below.

Bathed in natural light, the room features original hand-painted wall murals from the 1920s, a rare and delicate tribute to the estate’s artistic legacy. These preserved artworks lend the space an almost sacred stillness—an atmosphere where history, nature, and architecture converge.

Whether you're soaking in the morning sun or watching the golden hour dance across the river, the Sun Room offers a transcendent experience—a perfect balance of elegance and resilience.
