What types of events can be held at Julia Morgan Redwood Grove?
We host weddings, receptions, rehearsal dinners, corporate events, private parties, guided tours and more.

What are the event space options and capacities?
Event spaces include the Gardens/lawns (up to 200 guests), Great Room (up to 75 guests for seated weddings), and Main House Estate cocktail receptions (80–100 guests).

Is event insurance required?
Yes, event insurance is required for all bookings to protect guests and property.

What is included with an event rental?
Rentals include limited tables, limited chairs, base linens (not decorative or wrinkle free), access to estate grounds, shuttle service (restrictions apply), and on-site event support.

Are there any restrictions regarding smoking or open flames?
The estate is smoke-free, vape-free and drug free. No open flames are permitted onsite for safety. This includes the use of open flame candles.

Tours

Can I tour the estate?
Yes, guided tours are available by appointment. Please use our Tour Request Form to schedule.

Is the property ADA accessible?
While the property is historic and features stairs and uneven terrain, we make every effort to accommodate guests with mobility needs. Please contact us in advance to discuss accommodations.

How much does the guided tour cost?
Current rate: $20.00 per person.

Starting January 1, 2026:
 • $40.00 per person (ages 13 and older)
 • $20.00 per child (ages 4 to 12)
 • Free for children 3 and under.

Lodging

What lodging options are available onsite?
We offer the Carriage House and Cottage House for overnight stays.

Are there nearby hotels?
Yes, the Historic Benbow Inn is within walking distance, and the Best Western Plus Humboldt House 5+ miles up the freeway offers shuttle service.

What is the cancellation policy?
Refunds vary depending on how far in advance you cancel, with partial refunds for cancellations made 30 days or more before the event.

Are pets allowed on the property?
Please contact us directly regarding pets, as restrictions may apply.
