West Lawn

Upper, Lower and East Lawn Terraces

The Upper Terrace, accessed directly from the historic Map Room, overlooks the West Lawn and provides a welcoming space for gathering and enjoying the gardens. Just below, the Lower Terrace offers beautiful views of the Eel River, creating a peaceful setting for guests to relax and take in the scenery. The East Lawn Terrace serves as a versatile event space, commonly used for bars, beverage stations, appetizers, and guest gathering areas during weddings and special events. Together, these terraces provide charming outdoor spaces that enhance the estate's timeless beauty and functionality.

Event Capacity: Up to 140 guests

The orchard offers a more intimate outdoor setting while still accommodating larger gatherings. This space is ideal for ceremonies, rehearsal dinners, garden parties, and midsize receptions beneath the trees.

Guest Arrival & Parking

Paved parking area at the Benbow State Day Area.

Shuttle Capacity: Up to 5 (five) guests per run
(Additional shuttle(s) available . Additional fees apply.)

To preserve the integrity and tranquility of the historic estate grounds, guest parking is coordinated by Julia Morgan Redwood Grove through the nearby State Parks Day Use Area. Shuttle service transports guests directly to and from the gated property.

For guests who prefer to arrive on foot, a paved riverside walking path is available beyond the first gate. The gently inclined path is illuminated in the evening and offers a scenic approach beneath the redwoods, creating a peaceful introduction to the estate.
